We love Japanese denim streets, festivals and psychedelic hippie styling – so Fuji Rock Festival is just about our favorite thing! The festival took place last weekend and we’ve been exploring the pics, and have selected a few denim highlights for you.
The festival was a shower of color and print. The rain poncho was an essential
item, as were the ubiquitous walking boots, shorts and patterned tights.
Key for denim, however, was the one-piece. From mechanic overall styles to workwear function and utility, the guys were well covered. Girls’ updates were more fashion-led with dropped front bibs, railroad stripes, voluminous volume and dress updates.
Other key denim looks included printed denim shorts with boots and hiking boots for playful, outdoors chic. The black skinny is still and essential but focus was definitely on print and color. There was a real Boy Scout theme, too, with hats and boots accessorizing badged and patched denim shirts.
We loved these extreme patched and repaired shorts with charms and chains – true hobo style!
