Fresh-faced, American beauties were the key look at last Tuesday’s Met Costume Institute Gala. Stars looked radiant with glowing skin and rosy cheeks that complemented an eye shadow palette of coppery taupes and pale grays. Hair was pulled back and groomed eyebrows added structure to the face, while lips were adorned in an array of pinks – a spring/summer must. Glam ringlets provided a dose of Hollywood sophistication, but it was the beautiful, happy smiles that added the perfect final touch. Femininity and individuality were the key components to help celebrate the Met’s new exhibit, American Woman: Fashioning a National Identity. Look out for the full report, coming soon to the Fashion Office.
