An illustrator that caught the Stylesight Graphic team’s eye recently was Jessica Singh, a creative illustrator who has been creating some dramatic digitally sketched visuals.
Singh’s unique artworks mix colliding pattern work with computer sketched form to produce a dramatic visual feast. Much of her work draws inspiration from song lyrics, ceremonial costume, traditional folk art and Indian comic books.
The frenetic illustrations are created mostly in Adobe Photoshop CS with a Wacom Tablet. Many textures, patterns and handmade markings are scanned and included within the illustration.
She explains, “Every piece I create starts life as a simple pencil sketch, evolving into a rambling pen and ink drawing (usually over several sheets of paper). I love the tactile nature of the materials I use and the joy of smudgy fingerprints.”
Client collaborations have already included: The Crafts Council at the Victoria and Albert Museum, DKNY, Channel 4, Amelia’s Magazine and H&M.
