One of the biggest department stores in Paris, Galeries Lafayette has added a floor completely dedicated to women’s footwear. The 3,000 square foot space is located on the ground floor of the 9th arr.’s location and is the biggest “shoe shop” in the world, trumping New York’s Saks Fifth Avenue’s shoe floor, which has it’s own zip code. Designed by architect Patrick Jouin, the space feels like a grand boutique with large aisles and comfy sofas, and holds over 150 brands including 75 exclusives. Galeries Lafayette’s ground floor has become a new shopping destination for the shoe-obsessed.
