Food: Secret Sensory Suppers by FranklinTill

With food high on the agenda as a material, and the experience of dining now more than a means to sate the appetite, creative consultancy FranklinTill have teamed up with food wizards Bompass & Parr, artist and chef, Caroline Hobkinson from Stirring With Knives and London based sound designers, Silent Studios for a series of culinary evenings during London Design Festival.

Exploring sight, scent, sound and music, dinners will be set over three evenings, commencing the 20th September, in the atmospheric Masonic Temple at the Andaz Hotel at Liverpool Street in a “a sensual night of taste and touch.”

Guests will be lead through a series of dinner explorations by masked servers, and may even be blindfolded themselves.

Food courses will be broken up into five movements, based on musical sonatas, offering an experience of intrigue, participation and excess.

Menus will be prepared by distinguished chefs such as Michael Kreiling, head chef of 1901 at Andaz, all offering a surreal dining experience and performance that requires guests to reassess the way that they eat.
