New York: Monique Lhuillier sent forth a delightful collection of fluid evening looks in rich jewel tones. References from the elegant 1920s era blended beautifully with the glam rock of the 1970s – the lineup featured delicate red carpet-ready gowns such as silk draped dresses and curve-hugging mini-dresses. It was a new silhouette for the designer – embroidered bodysuits were layered under tailored frock coats and long fur jackets and feminine lace dresses sported soft padding at the shoulders giving the lineup a subtle 1980s effect. Lhuillier made us travel through three different decades and the trip was refreshing and very, very glamorous. – Diego Sanchez
