First Sighting: Benny Yoshiku


At the recent lifestyle and streetwear tradeshow in Copenhagen, Terminal-2, Stylesight discovered the new menswear collection Benny Yoshiku. After moving from the Harajuku section of Japan at the age of 15 to the English countryside where he studied at Eton College, Benny created a style of his own. In a mixture of eclectic Japanese styles taken from the designer’s early years growing up and classic English menswear taken from his school uniforms, his unique style was admired by all of his classmates. He slowly started working on his own collection. For Benny’s first season, classic blazers in traditional tartans, collared button-fronts and striped cardigans all received an experimental twist in new color combinations. With a strong logo comprised of nerdy-chic glasses and typical English regalia, Benny Yoshiku’s F/W 10 collection is set to be a huge success.
