Fiorentini+Baker Preview

Yesterday the ladies of Fiorentini + Baker gave us a sneak peek of their F/W 12 collection at their Soho Flagship store.  Established in 2002, the brand has seen progressive growth (they just celebrated their 10 year anniversary) and has developed a loyal following.  Despite the expansion they plan to keep a sense of exclusivity with small runs to ensure the high level of craftsmanship from their Italian factories.  With comfortable lasts and carefully selected quality hides the brand delivers staples that you will keep for life.  Deborah Baker, designer and founder, says “I do what I like” and we love her for it.  Fiorentini+Baker keeps up with seasonal changes without giving in to trends or buzz.  Below are a few of our favorite selections from their F/W 12 collection.

Fiorentini+Baker‘s Soho Flagship at 52 Mercer.

This style was inspired by the sludge and heavy weather NYC is known for.  The plush lining is exquisite and a new rubber bottom adds traction.

Oiled suede and buckled straps is all a girl needs out of a good boot.

A new addition to the line up is a new heel height and a feminine peep, in which you can dance all night long.

My favorite – bordeaux calf suede in the new heel height and drawstring shaft detail.

Victorian influences look hard rock in this mid-calf style.

It wouldn’t be Fiorentini+Baker if it didn’t have some edgy detailing and texture. -Jenn Tello
