“We dress the modern dandy”, says Itamar Zechoval, founder and creative director of Dandy of the Grotesque. Founded in 2009, the brand brings a unique twist to traditional made-to-measure menswear.
After leaving his hometown in Israel at 21, Zechoval spent 10 years in Milan fine-tuning his skills by working as a designer, art director and creating costumes for the likes of Marilyn Manson. Located in the Berlin shopping hub of Mitte, the Dandy of the Grotesque atelier functions as a gentleman’s club for those in search of dapper duds with a dark side. The dimly lit space offers seasonal prêt-a-porter collections and bespoke suits – all of which bear the label’s expert tailoring, distinctive detailing and unorthodox fabrics – served with glass a whiskey neat. -Christina Mannatt
