In its fourth installment, Fashion’s Night Out (always) additionally includes more than several efforts from some of our favorite Active brands. This year, the Active team bounced around New York City throughout the star-studded evening to check out what was happening during the crowded madness…
First stop of the night…NFL craze! Down at SNAP on West 14th, 47 Brand celebrated in true style with a red carpet, photo booth (with the best props!) and even some celebrity guests. From pro athletes to Miss USA, the event got us fired up for Fall and football season. 47 Brand is currently partnering with the NFL to create cool, vintage inspired apparel and accessories. We recently got our hands on few pieces and can’t wait to wear ‘em come game day.
In the midst of FNO, famous graffiti artist FUTURA held a private opening of new work, presented by Andy Valmorbida and RVCA Artist Network Project. Considering the iconic artist has influenced almost everyone in the streetwear game, we had to stop by the event held at a huge and offbeat downtown space in the West Village. Everyone from Carlo McCormick, Fab 5 Freddy and Kool Keith to Luiz Guzman, Mario Sorrenti and Russell Simmons came through the massive space to show support.
Our last stop (and certainly not least) came from two of our favorite brands melding together at the Vans x DQM General Store on Grand Street in SoHo. Featuring the new collection, as well as a huge array of Vans product, the party was equipped with custom Minx mani stations showcasing new prints for the season. With individual cans of Sofia and hawaiian print nails, what more could a girl want?
Till next year folks!
