It was a busy weekend for festivals with Barcelona’s Primavera Sound running alongside New York’s Governor’s Ball Festival on different sides of the Atlantic, with everyone from Miguel to The Strokes performing in NYC.
Both festivals were brimming with exciting festival style inspiration, as well as practical pieces to weather the imminent stormy rain that ruined day 3 of Governor’s Ball, cue lots of caps and sensible footwear.
Here’s our pick of the stunning street style and best looks we captured before rain stopped play in NYC.
Key trends include:
-Personalised clothing and emoji style accessories: a look inspired by the youth market,
-The western bandanna, a key accessory that we reported was out in force during SXSW earlier this year too
-Sunglasses: Round eyewear continues to remain popular at the festival
-Chokers and goth influences that will continue through to A/W as seen on the Topshop catwalk.
