The jacket, it’s the last thing that goes on your back and consequently you might not give it that much thought. But that my friends, is a shame, because the jacket is actually so much more than a vessel to keep you warm and keep the rain off. The jacket is the first thing people see, that and your shoes (but that’s another post entirely).

So it’s time we give a little more love and attention to our jackets, in fact I’d say just invest fully there. Because a good jacket can hide the fact that this is the seventh day in a row that you’ve rocked those ripped jeans and that grey t-shirt (just don’t take the jacket off).

And happily, the latest jackets to drop in store are key statement pieces that do all the talking for you (and hide a multitude of sins). A canvas for seasonal print statements, which incorporate everything from new sporty slogans to your favourite  Internet emojis to a fresh take on floral designs, all with a unisex appeal that means they can be rocked by any gender.

Ideal for layering, this transitional piece will take you from spring to summer to autumn.

We’ve scoured the best global street style to find the most stand out jackets and the coolest way to style them this season:
