As our favorite lifestyle kicks are gearing up to drop their fall collections, Stylesight made sure to get a sneak peek of what to expect on shelves this August. We were pleased to see a fresh offering to the usual autumn-inspired transitional kicks.
One of our favorites details is the focused selection of prints for Fall. Tiny florals for the ladies and neutral camo for men kept looks fresh in all-over repeats on contrasting soles. With florals, we have to say the smaller, the better! It was great to see the peppered blossoms sprinkled over uppers to resemble it’s close-knit cousin, the already popular polka dot. Dr. Martens made good use of the print based off of a navy, keeping it light with a white sole; while Keds supplied a perfect silhouette for the feminine pattern. Stussy stuck to their roots with a neutral camo on a sturdy skate-ready Converse sole.
As with performance accents segue into the lifestyle market, adding a punch of color to a more relaxed style is an easy way to punch up a palette. We have noticed orange hues are a key shade this season, adding a pop to white and dove grey uppers.
We loved the terracotta-hued rubber soles at Keds and Sperry, the Mark McNairy collaboration is easy to spot for the extra bit spilling onto the upper for a unique touch.
1. Converse KA-One Vulc in ‘Varsity Red’ and ‘Lunar Rock’ 2. Converse Mood
Converse previewed their Kenny Anderson collaboration with the vulcanized version (shown above) in a fresh white with red logo and a simple black line to keep things clean on the ground. The sturdy clean sole looks great for the late summer.
With a last word of advice from Converse, stay tuned for more collection updates from Stylesight! -Calvy Click
