Normally I rag on Alice + Olivia at least once a day in my mind, dismissing them as the kind of label girls who shop at Intermix are into. But then I saw this sweater dress and all I could think was, “I’d LIVE in that.†Lord I’m a hypocrite.
In fifth grade I learned the magical art of hair braiding from my trashy best friend Stacey. This sweater from Alena Akhmadulina takes me back to those halcyon days.
I’ve always thought those Amish ladies had it goin’ on. Apparently, so did the good people at Dries Van Noten.
My “wear-all-of-the-time†black flats died recently. After observing a brief mourning period, I’m considering replacing them with gray ones, which will still match everything, but in a softer, trendier way. Also, is it OK for me wear knee socks in my mid-twenties? Because they’re friggin’ hot.
Short-sleeved dresses paired with long gloves are where it’s at this fall. I love the clean lines on this Marni number, but mittens? Really? You can’t even pick stuff up with those on!
A gray cardigan is one of the best things you will ever spend money on. Or, don’t spend a red cent: find yourself a boyfriend who owns the most perfect Banana Republic cashmere cardigan (with suede elbow patches!) ever and steal it. Trust me.
I’m into anything egg-shaped, so I can’t help but love these coats from Y and Kei and Luca Luca.
A cheap way to hop aboard the gray train: tights! 3.1 Phillip Lim paired them with mustard colored shoes and I just about lost my mind with happiness. Heavenly match! Other good shoe colors: teal, white, purple. Or, switch it up and pair your gray shoes with colored tights. Oh how I love fall fashion, with its plethora of options!
Dear Tom Scott: please send me this entire outfit. All gray, all the way!
