When one’s look has clean lines and is mostly void of color, an immense amount of inspiration results. I’ve noticed a lot of monochromatic looks on the streets of Paris, Milan, New York and London as of late. The use of tonal greys is one of my favorite styling techniques, really driving home the purity and subtlety of such a strong neutral. We also found a lot of guys with a strong graphic representation of black, white and cobalt blue, which is an interesting fusion of all the color blocking and mosaic trends on the runways. Finally, our favorite fashion-forward gents have increasingly been embracing solid black looks for the summer months, making use of sheer knits, layered shorts and tights, and classic items like oxford shirts and bow ties. Yes, sometimes it’s the quietest looks that say the most. -Michael
