To his long and impressive resumé that already includes Fashion and Style Director of Vanity Fair, illustrator and photographer, Michael Roberts can now add swimwear designer. Roberts has teamed up with Brazilian brand Skinbiquini on a line of bathing suits that bear his signature African-inspired tribal masks and tropical motifs. Not only are the sultry string bikinis and open-backed maillots right on trend with Stylesight’s Bongo Bakongo theme, but they are also made to endure the summer sun and active beach lifestyle.
Skinbiquini isn’t the only line that is in love with Michael Roberts’ vibrant illustrations. Designer Ninivah Khomo has commissioned his prints for her line of clothing, as well as the jungle-themed interiors of her London store, Ninivah. The swimwear collection will be available there this summer and at Skinbiquini’s store in São Paulo.
