Rounding out the trade show season is The Children’s Great Event Shoe Show, held in New Jersey from February 21-23. Filled with designers like Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Jessica Simpson Kids, Keds, Moschino, Primigi and Sam Edelman Girls, a few key trends stood out to the Children’s Team. Desert boots and smoking slippers seemed to be omnipresent while little girls reached new heights with higher heels including stacked heels and wedges. Colors up-trended from the adult market, with forest green, gray, royal blue, oxblood and purple present. Mismatched twin flats were a fun update, especially when paired with refreshed silhouettes. Hand-painted flowers on ballet flats, pop colors on hybrid boots and ribbons instead of shoelaces were among our favorite details.
