The Children’s Team stopped by Playtime New York, running from March 10-12 in New York City. Filled with Playtime’s bright colors and amazing displays, we continued seeing some of the key trends we’ve highlighted in our recent wraps. Animal folk prints were present across a variety of silhouettes and remain perfect for gender-neutral designs. Colors included warm wintry jewel tones interspersed with pops of neon while faux fur added a luxury element to mini-me styles. Layering was key, with designers like South Carolina based Neve / Hawk creating versatile multi-function pieces and Little Esop playing with the juxtaposition of patterns and shapes including one of our favorite pieces, a deeply scallop-edged animal-print skirt atop a bold striped and lightly curved scallop-edged skirt shown above. Be sure to check out our trade show wrap reports for detailed F/W 12 trends.
