Playtime made its way to New York with the 3rd edition of the international childrenswear tradeshow this weekend. Held in downtown Soho, the show was full with positive vibes and animated colors, continuing “Happiness” as the theme of the season. Cobalt balloons paved the way to each designer’s table, including some of our favorite brands A for Apple, Nico Nico and Esp No.1, exhibiting upcoming trends for children. New to the show was, Son’s and Daughters, a stylish eyewear range hailing from Canada and Mini & Maximus an imaginative t-shirt and knitwear line we’ve been hot on for a while. A highlight of the show was the “Playtime Loves Japan” Pop-up shop, selling products donated by exhibitors, with 100% of the profits benefiting the not-for-profit organization Kids In Distressed Situations (K.I.D.S.). Next up is Playtime Tokyo, coming up August 23 to 25.
