Milan: With a giant tree as a backdrop and a runway covered in AstroTurf, Kean Etro presented another festive take on the label’s iconic prints and patterns. This time paisley played a central role, and showed up in a plethora of variations — from juicy shades of citrus to muted neutrals, all layered under shawl-collared suits. The beach-y fiesta feeling was successfully carried through from formalwear to the most casual of sportswear (sheer shirts and Bermuda shorts). While the use of pattern sometimes becomes a bit redundant, Etro’s colorful, sure-handed mix brings a freewheeling optimism to men’s fashion.
