Desert Festival at Etro

Milan: Veronica Etro put together a collection for Spring/Summer full of the luxury materials and prints that are the leitmotif of the Etro brand. It was all about handcrafted individual pieces where she dyed, braided, and embellished lightweight fabrics, creating new textures that portrayed a bohemian sense of ease. “I figured out this woman, an artist, living on her own in the desert,” said Etro backstage. There was a sense of ease and fluidity about mixing Native American silhouettes with flowing layers accessorized with feather necklaces, beads, textural vests all dipped in a colour palette of dusky blues, greys and red accents. –Lizzy Bowring
