Milan: Stefano Pilati’s much anticipated inaugural collection for Ermenegildo Zegna was a rebellious showing of what makes the designer special, elevating the house codes into something modern and directional. Among the traditional slim suiting and relaxed robe coats, Pilati slipped in turned-up knit cuff details, tonal jacquard leopard spots and square-shoulder blazers cinched aggressively at the waist, pursuing the type of individualized, modern styling previously lacking at this classic Italian label.— Nina Stotler
