On Wednesday June 1st the Royal College of Art will once again play host to their prestigious MA Fashion graduate show. Renowned for cultivating some of the most exiting design talent this annual ‘spectacular’ is a unique opportunity to see the fashion luminaries of the future showcase groundbreaking designs, new ideas and trends.
Keen to follow in the successful footsteps of reputable alumni that includes Erdem, Katie Eary, Christopher Bailey and milliner Phillip Treacy, a roster of thirty-six graduates will preview their final collections in a catwalk show and static exhibition that comprises menswear, womenswear, knitwear, millinery, footwear and accessory design.
In addition, a selection of first year work with Italian tailoring company Brioni will be on display, and the college’s own Gulbenkian Gallery will be showcasing the work of established design talents already making waves on the international fashion scene
Funded by Vogue editor Madge Garland in 1948, the course is now under the helm of Professor Wendy Dagworthy renowned for nurturing creatively original design students with technical ability to be fully prepared for the industry.
Stylesight will be reporting from the show as part of their up and coming ‘Ones to watch’ graduation round up, but limited tickets can also be purchased from the Royal College of Art website.
