Hey – I’ve been having such an inspiring week here in Paris, as always. Of course there’s been inspiration galore on the runway. Inspiration though is a many-headed monster – it can come just as surely from a conversation with a stranger on the Metro, from a glimpse at a Polaroid-filled magazine at Kiliwatch, from the intricate lattice-work that makes up the base of the Eiffel Tower. All of this and much more has made its way across my radar this week. I’ve heard lots of great and inspiring music as well…the new Phoenix track “1901” at Le Regine…”Marie’s the Name (His Latest Flame)” by Elvis Presley rocking the small dance floor at Le Montana last night at the Chanel party…the Y-3 DJ closing his set with “In The City” by Chromatics…Gary Numan’s “Cars” rocking the Chloe runway today…that new Yeah Yeah Yeahs track “Zero” that I’ve heard everywhere this week…I’ve been making mental and actual notes of all of this. Speaking of music, here’s my theme song for Paris this season – the brand new Morrissey single…enjoy. xx eddie
