London: 26-year-old Elliot Atkinson was tapped by Fashion East to participate in their prestigious show, and his accomplished collection proved he is a promising new talent. Atkinson looked across the pond for inspiration, borrowing Native American feathers and Southwestern bolo ties and metal collar tips, but mixed them in with traditional Aran sweaters and plaids for and Old World meets New World feel. Extra-high hemlines were strikingly at odds with the current floor-sweeping looks, but fluffy furs and slim leather pants were appealing and of-the-moment.
