A new three-stage skincare programme from Elemis is set to launch this month targeted at brightening the skin and eradicating the effects of dark spots, age spots and excess pigmentation which contribute to skin looking dull, uneven and aged.

Long since popular in Asia, skin-brightening treatments are becoming essential daily skincare additions for those of Caucasian descent, with hectic lifestyles contributing to irregularities.

Consisting of a cleanser, lotion and serum, the system contains a White Brightening Complex composed of daisy, kiwi, sophora and pea extracts to block the synthesis of tyrosinase – the enzyme responsible for melanin production which darkens the appearance of the skin. Rice silk helps absorb excess oil to prevent a shiny complexion while vitamin C targets dark spots on the skin and helps to prevent future outbreaks.

When used together, the three products claim to help the restoration of skin clarity, luminosity and brightness with 88% of those who took part in the Independent User Trials agreeing that their skin was visibly clearer thanks to the lotion, and 83% agreeing that their skin was visibly brighter thanks to the cleanser.

Elemis’ White Brightening Even Tone Cleanser and White Brightening Even Tone Lotion will be available in March, priced at £29.50 and £39.50 respectively. For more information visit www.elemis.com.
