For 35 years, Edwin Japan has worked on improving efficiency, quality, construction and washing methods by studying and engineering machinery used in the denim manufacturing process. In celebration of this legacy, Edwin released a short video showcasing their jean manufacturing process.
The short film brings Edwin’s true craftsmen, the denim technicians, to the forefront of the brand, demonstrating that their commitment and attention to the product is unquestionably what makes the Edwin product stand out from the mass of denim available on the market today. The film also captures the culture and character of the surrounding neighborhood and features snippets of the main Edwin factory (located on the coast, just outside of Tokyo).
The write-up that accompanies the video discusses Edwin Japan’s artisanal methods, the training of their “denim technicians”, and details of their custom machinery.
