In usual fashion, Chanel kicked off the Resort 2012 season last month in Antibes, setting a ladylike tone for swimwear with peplummed tankinis and black-and-white maillots inspired by Coco’s iconic jacket. At Bottega Veneta, Tomas Maier showed off his swimwear finesse in lingerie-inspired one-pieces and demi tops, all fashioned out of a unique melange-printed tricot. Oscar de la Renta and Elie Tahari also favored retro-inspired beachwear, both pairing striped high-waisted bottoms with prim tops.
As they slowly trickle in over the summer, catch up on the latest Resort 2012 collections in our Daily Chronicles, and stay tuned for periodic swimwear updates fresh off the runway on Intimate Details.
