Ceramics designer Kirstie van Noort has opened her studio workshop in Eindhoven up to visitors this week, as part of Dutch Design Week 2014. Inside the creative space, machinery and tools share space with glazes, colour samples and works in progress.
Experiments and prototypes sit alongside neat rows of perfectly thrown ceramic vessels in shades of soft, fruity pastels. Colour samples are displayed in catalogued lines and bowls with scratchy, tactile glazes are stacked in concentric circles.
Sectie C is also home to Nacho Carbonell’s workshop, which he opened up to the public for Dutch Design Week last year.
Dutch Design Week 2014 runs until 26 October in Eindhoven. Homebuildlife subscribers will be able to access our full report from the show next week.
