A couple of weeks ago I came into possession of a multi-colored cotton scarf and it’s literally revolutionized my life. I felt butterflies of love in my belly when considering the myriad ways this green, red, black, yellow and brown striped treasure could be used: as a scarf, a wrap, a skirt, a headband, a top, a blanket, you name it. Giant scarves in warm weather fabrics are perfect for the bizarre temperature changes spring and summer bring, from chilly mornings and nights to ice-cold AC. This versatile wonder of an accessory lives all rolled up in my bag, where it weighs next to nothing and I never take it out unless it’s to put it onto my body. I’ve used this shining example of a scarf every single day since I found it and now I really can’t imagine living without it. As you can see I’m not alone. From Balenciaga, where Nicolas Ghesquiere took the streets to the runway, to actual streets all over the world, giant scarves are where it’s at. So give away that tired Palestinian business you got at Urban Outfitters and get yourself wrapped! Go!
