Get Ready To Dress Your Home With Your Favourite Fashion Designer

Fashion and interior design: the relationship is rife

Fashion and interior design are interconnected.

Have you always dreamed of dressing your home with the designs from your favourite fashion brand? Now you can, as the two worlds are increasingly intertwined, and a growing number of fashion designers are dipping their toes in the home domain, expanding their reach to a lifestyle approach.

The latest collaborations to hit the stores are packed with pattern and colour, to inject a pop of vitality to our homes during these gloomy winter days. At Habitat, in the UK, the second edition of the House of Holland x Habitat has just been launched on March 1st both in store and online: if you coveted those gorgeous collages of florals and graphics just by looking at the brand’s S/S 17 runway, now you can dress your bed, or floor, or living room with it and bask in the lush patterns. And if you are in central London, fill your eyes with these patterns at the Hoxton hotel in Holborn, where the collection is taking a month-long residency in one of the rooms throughout March.

Want more pattern galore? The SPRIGG limited edition collection by IKEA is just what you need then – signed by British menswear designer Kit Neale, it is as vibrant, and graphic, and dazzling as his fashion designs. And more. This visual feast takes over not only bedding and tableware but also on-the-go accessories like thermos flasks, storage boxes and camping tents that will make today’s nomadic youth set camp into their living rooms just as they would at a festival.

And let’s not forget our mini-mes: at Pottery Barn Kids, Italian fashion designer Margherita Missoni brings her love for eclectic colour and motif mixing to the nursery and the kids’ room. Daisies, geometries, animals, but also crafted details such as quilting, tufting and pompoms explore the brightest hues and all come together, to be mixed and matched so the children can imagine, create and play. This is such a tender and lively collection that it makes the #wishlist for grown-ups just as much!
