Hip-hop artist Drake (and one of GQ‘s Men of the Year for 2010) recently teamed up with friends Noah Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib of October’s Very Own (the collective under which all of Drake’s creative pursuits fall) in creating their own parka for menswear favorite Canada Goose. Modeled after the classic Chilliwack style, named for an especially rugged area of British Columbia and a favorite of bush pilots who frequent the skies there, the OVO exclusive retails for $900. The jacket has hints of monochromatic urban styling with a nylon twill satin shell, plush fleece lining and a genuine coyote fur trim for an additional element of luxury. Only 300 jackets were produced to keep it a true collector’s item, and high-end boutiques like Nomad of Toronto, Nom De Guerre, Nepenthes, Colette and Opening Ceremony have the goods while they last.
