After Dr. Romanelli‘s successful DRx STEEL collaboration with Anachronorm, newly opened e-commerce shop, Boylston Trading Company enlisted both brands to partner once again on a limited edition denim project.
Conceived and overseen by Frank “The Butcher” Rivera, Boylston Trading Co. is an online boutique specializing in a multidimensional menswear shopping experience. Beyond the boutique’s expected purchasing opportunities, its extensive product range is presented in an online magazine format, providing an immersive lifestyle experience that features brand-affiliated lookbooks, exclusive photo essays, and in-depth editorial segments with the associated designers and creatives.
An impressive range of carefully curated menswear, hard goods and collaborative products has been among the boutique’s first offerings. For their inaugural collaborative project, Boylston Trading Co. worked closely with Anachronorm and Dr. Romanelli to create a taut capsule collection of custom-made Japanese denim, limited to only 50 pairs worldwide.
The straight fit jeans make use of custom-branded patchwork, gold hardware and “DRX” embroidery that gives nod to Dr. Romanelli’s unique hand-curated fashion aesthetic. The DRX Japanese selvedge denim represents part one of a five-pair capsule collection that is set to roll out soon between Boylston and Dr. Romanelli. The collection launched exclusively to BoylstonTradingCo.com and is now available online.
In line with the launch, the guys at Boylston caught up with Anachronorm owner and designer Tomoki Tanushi in an interview to discuss the brand and the craftsmanship in Okayama.
