American indigo craft brand Dr. Collectors brings its French chic-meets-Americana aesthetic to LA’s up-and-coming La Brea district with the opening of their first flagship store.
With over 40 years of collecting under his belt, vintage fanatic Olivier Grasset has become one of the most revered names in the business. Fascinated by American vintage denim, Grassett together with is son Teddy run Dr. Collectors, a LA-based small batch workwear brand inspired by his native French roots and love for American blue jeans culture.
4 years after its inception (2010), Olivier pushes the brand to the next level and opens his first flagship store, Trading Post, in Hollywood. Located on up-and-coming La Brea (also home to American Rag, Self Edge and What Goes Around Comes Around) the 575-square-foot boutique boasts a beautifully curated interior of rustic wooden shelving and indigo dyed furniture. The space primarily acts as a platform for Dr. Collector U.S.-made selvedge denim and apparel, but also features carefully selected US Made brands, French imports and rare deadstock labels. Expect to find merch from European labels like French Workwear, Le Minor, Moulin Neuf, Le Laboureur, Vetra and more alongside leather goods, handmade indigo-dyed basics and classic vinyl.
Trading Post is open daily from 11am to 8pm.
