New York…Proenza Schouler

For their F/W 09 collection, this dynamic duo understood the desire for the “downtown girl” to have investment pieces in her wardrobe. Outerwear fabrics were indulgent and tactile, like twill coats and jackets in camel and black as well as cropped tweed blazers. Dresses were shown in mineral colors like mercury and copper in fabrics like high shine satin and velvet dévoré. These nature-inspired colors created a collection that was wearable and simple.

yeah, definitely a mineral trend going on, also interesting to see such a turn around from PS, remember last season’s foray into technical materials? Not so good, this is much more wearable at least.

More mineral-like fabrics! I see a trend.
