Donna Karan created a juxtaposition between nature and city for her one of her best, most beautiful collections in years. The ethereal quality of innovative fabrics like soft burlap, washed linen and sheer organza evoked an air of mystery. Chalk white, stone grey and sandy taupe brought a visual sense of changing skies and concrete sidewalks. Jackets were wrapped and tied with strips of leather tape and draped over form-fitting pencil skirts, mixing a bit of tailoring with a touch of comfort. Pants remained slim and collarbones were adorned architectural jewelry, providing a mix of hard and soft throughout the show.
