Riccardo Tisci’s F/W 11 collection for Givenchy came with plenty of allover prints inspired by a rottweiler. At the time, we had no idea the placed graphic T-shirt would be such a hit. Once the clothes started hitting retailers, celebrities like Kanye West and Liv Tyler “barked” at the design’s popularity by sporting it at events around town. Months later, trendsetters in New York, Milan, Paris, Tokyo, London and Seoul were captured by Stylesight’s correspondents in the tee.
A recent check-in with our buyer friends at Bergdorf Goodman and Barneys New York found that the style is sold out all over the place. With so many people seen wearing it, is it any wonder that there are none left for the rest of us?
