DKNY

CITY SLICK
New York: Donna Karan brought slick sophistication back to DKNY for fall and pursued a luxurious direction through crocodile embossed leathers and plenty of fur. Sticking mostly to her favorite non-color, Karan layered black separates to create slim, edgy suiting out of wool bomber jackets paired with pintucked trousers and gave chic appeal to quilted parkas by cinching them with corset belts. Although many of the pieces telegraphed a serious mood, some lighter flirtations appeared via an oversized sweater in a graphic animal print or with the many short, swingy dresses and skirts. Shaved furs added dramatic texture to outerwear and a simple wool overcoat with chunky chinchilla sleeves was particularly gorgeous. —Nina Stotler

  • These are great styles for the new year. Black is the perfect color for winter wear. The maroons shoes are a great touch the black outfits. I am not a fan of animal print but these were done really classy.
