Opened in the 1930’s, Claridges is a captivating vision in Art Deco decor located in the heart of the West End, with Oxford Street, Bond Street and South Molton Street shopping areas right on its doorstep.
The equally enchanting fashion designer, Diane von Furstenberg, has not only been a loyal guest here since the 1970’s but, has recently collaborated with interior decorator Olivier Gelbsmann to design a set of 20 guest rooms and suites for what she describes as “the most glamorous hotel in the world.” For the decor, like her iconic wrap dresses, she employs a confident color palette in striking prints on upholstery, curtains, handcrafted rugs and cashmere blankets. Her designs dominate and pull together each room to create an atmosphere of divine decadence. – Jordana Longo
