Kahori Maki is an amazing digital painter from Japan who’s been creating some stunning illustration work over the last couple of years.
Kahori Maki’s work is a clever mix of traditional and digital painting, which creates a unique textured look. Her lush watercolor backgrounds give strong impact against her perfectly captured pencil studies. Kahori draws inspiration from nature, animals and fashion to create her stunning blend of fantasy and reality.
Kahori graduated from Japan University Art Department in 1992. Since moving to New York in 1994, Kahori has worked as an active freelance artist, producing a wide variety of illustrations, installations and paintings for clients such as Chanel, Vogue, Elle, and Levi’s to name a few.
