Graphic imagery takes many different forms and the Stylesight graphic team is always sniffing out new visual effects and graphic technologies in this ever changing graphic world.
A new inspiring technology that caught our eye a couple of months back was from Dentsu London, a hot creative communications agency. Dentsu has been working with Berg, another inspirational London design consultancy to create two films with the title, ‘Making Future Magic’.
Using photographic and animation techniques, they have been developing moving 3-dimensional typography and objects with an iPad. In dark environments they play movies on the surface of the iPad, which are captured by a slow exposure digital camera. These frames create a sort of digital high-tech, floating, stop-frame animation clip or image. With creative visual experimentation they have managed to create some beautiful 3-D effect typeface visuals.
Their latest development is to release a downloadable app called ‘Penki’ (Japanese for paint) to take their digital light painting visuals to a more excisable level. Watch this space for the future of digital light painting animations.
Check out the Making Future Magic video below for a more in-depth explanation of this truly amazing exploration into graphic digital art.
