MILAN…Dolce and Gabbana’s secondary line D&G has always ends up skewing a bit younger, capturing a playful customer more interested in fun than capital “F” fashion. For S/S 09 the designers took nautical looks as their inspiration, as well as a dash of Coco Chanel. Interpreting these influences through anchor symbols, shimmery navy sequins and classic back and white stripes, the collection produced a number of cute pieces for juniors. Look at sailor style gathered shorts, striped playsuits and horizontal stripe knit dresses as inspiration.
