Dezeen: Designed in Hackney Day and New Super Store

We’re big fans of online architecture and design magazine Dezeen here at Stylesight, and what a great couple of weeks it has been for them: First scooping the award for Digital Business Publisher of the Year 2012 at the Association of Online Publishers’ 11th Digital Publishing Awards in July, and earlier this week, successfully hosting the Designed in Hackney all-day event in Shoreditch, which the Lifestyle & Culture team was lucky enough to attend.  Now the magazine has announced plans for a “micro department store,” which will be part of their brilliant “Designed in Hackney” initiative.

Located in central London, Super Store will offer a unique, “hand-picked” selection of  products that have been crafted by designers working in and around the Olympic boroughs of East London.  In addition, an exhibition space within the store will change weekly to showcase further works that are not for sale.

Super Store will run until September 30, 2012.
