While attending the London Fashion Week Exhibition last week we were drawn to the new collection by jewelry designer Sarah Angold. In a collaboration for Spring/ Summer 2012 Sarah creates a magnificent display of modernity by merging her signature futurist look with David Koma’s collection shown during London Fashion Week.

The Royal College of Art graduate uses geometric, layered, laser-cut acrylic plastics to create stunning pieces of jewelry. Some of Angold’s clients have previously included Hussein Chalayan, Selfridges, Toyota Japan, the Design Museum in London and Swarovski.

We love the fact that Angold has a fresh take on jewelry bringing us closer to the future yet without compromising glamour. It is not necessary to look at ‘conventional’ jewelry materials when the ‘unconventional’ has the potential to translate a new elegance and this is certainly a fact in Angold’s case. Precious metals and stones can indeed be replaced by plastic when the outcome is as dazzling.

She is also branching out to interior decor, by launching her first lighting range this September.
