Last weekend Stylesight had the privilege of attending the Design Miami/ Basel show in Basel, Switzerland.

Design Miami/ Basel celebrated its 8th edition at the permanent exhibition hall designed by Swiss architects Herzog & de Meuron in Basel. During this event, top galleries gathered to present a stunning display of 20th and 21st century design along with well-known interiors pieces.

This trade show is constantly expanding and evolving to display the most influential designers, collectors and galleries as witnessed this weekend. Held alongside Art Basel in Miami each December and in Basel each June, it has become the most influential and celebrated event on the design calendar.

Now in its fourth year, the collaboration between Design Miami and W Hotels continues to provide an international platform for new and emerging designers to display their works.
Displaying its dedication to the creative interior world, W Hotels presented the three winning designers of the W Hotels Designers of the Future Awards: Seung-Young Song, Jon Stam and Bethan Laura Wood. The site specific installations will be installed at W Hotels worldwide after the Basel exhibition. See our previous post on this competition.

Design Miami/ Basel is an inspiring event that invites the visitors to return to the Herzog & de Meuron pavilion for many more years to come. Design Miami/ Basel was held from June 11 – 16 in Basel Switzerland – Mona Dekker.
