The Cheap Monday design team has been in New York for the past week setting shop in their new Downtown Pop-Up store location. Their customized world tour began in Stockholm last November aand continued to Copenhagen, Berlin, and London. Now the entire design team is in NYC and has designed the denim store front window that just opened last week. The store features 50 pairs of custom jeans that have been patched, roughed up and sewn in various ways so that no two are alike. This exclusive customizing process also includes sandpapering, punching, patching, sewing, washing and destroying the denim. The jeans are hung from the ceiling in an undulating wave pattern, enticing customers to reach out and “tag” their own one-of-kind pair of jeans!
