Firmly on the art-tip as of late with partnerships involving iconic art minds Shepard Fairey and Damien Hirst, Levi’s continue on a path of creativity thanks to a recent team-up with graphic design firm Sagmeister. With iconic works spanning leading musicians Rolling Stones and Velvet Underground among others, Levi’s bestows upon Sagmeister the iconic 501 to form their own artistic endeavor. The co-branded art installations will be seen exclusively at American Rag’s locations in Los Angeles and Levi’s home-base San Francisco. This preview is just two of a more comprehensive release that will be unveiled in the coming months. As well, Levi’s purchases as American Rag will include a special poster of the art. As shown, the deconstruction of the jeans was to represent the very DNA that goes into a pair of world famous 501s.
