Last week marked a new era for the international denim trade show Denim by Premiére Vision as the renowned fair relocated to its new home Barcelona. After 13 seasons in Paris, the show settles into the expansive Hall 8 of Fira Montuic for its 14th edition. Stylesight was there throughout the 2 days to soak up the key denim trends, industry gossip and of course with all the amazing street style on show. We’re in the middle of our comprehensive coverage, rounding up the key surface and laundry trends along with a full street style round-up, but to keep you on your toes we thought we would share a few of our favorite looks:
Total denim looks were the obvious choice at this key denim trade show. Indigo print and pattern gave attendees an artisan edge whilst sartorial neckerchiefs, pocket squares and braces appealed to the more refined gentleman. Our favorite look of the show, however, was this overall pictured in the center, proving that the Japanese always get it right when it comes to denim styling.
Ladies rocked a pretty diverse array of denim looks, from concept-cut and oversized all-in-ones, to beautiful Japanese indigo kimono jackets. We loved the Levi’s Red new collection worn as a modern double denim look and the incredible hand-painted denim jacket with an indigo landscape on the back panel.
As we said, we’re working on the full coverage so subscribers keep your eye out for the full report for surface, laundry and streets on the denim homepage later this week.
