Denim by Premiere Vision Asia

We are out in Shanghai right now after presenting a trend seminar at the renowned Kingpins denim trade show. We took some time out of our schedule to pop over to Premiere Vision Shanghai’s first-ever separate Denim by PV show.

The show gained success in Paris as a smaller, denim specific trade show, bringing together key European and global denim mills, finishers, and technology specialists. Following this success, PV decided to launch the show in Asia at Shanghai’s busy trade show week. The show features many familiar names from Paris such as Artistic Fabric Mills, Bossa, Orta and Tejidos Royo as well as local mills and laundries from China, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan.

A highlight of the show was a special Denim by Première Vision Asia collection created specially for the event to illustrate what premium denim means in terms of materials, finishings, and cuts. The collection is a collaboration with Italian denim experts Umberto Brochetto and Massimo Munari (from Creative Room and Martelli respectively). The collections were displayed at the show in dedicated ‘room in rooms’ to provide inspiration for the denim attendees and exhibitors.

To provide a better understanding of what premium denim is, Massimo Munari also prepared a seminar, “Premium Blue Wave,” at 11:30 am each day of the show.
