Last week, during the packed Berlin fashion week schedule, leading Dutch-based brand Denham celebrated the opening of their permanent bricks and mortar store in the Blue Yard, Mitte.
The opening follows last season’s pop-up Blue Yard showcase, that featured three major denim brands occupying a courtyard behind Karl-Heinz’s legendary 14oz store. Deham’s store sat alongside market leaders Nudie and Edwin Europe and while the other two brands remained temporary pop-ups, Denham decided to make the move permeant, setting up their first German stand-alone in Berlin.
The store is 125 sq meters in size and houses Denham’s full collections as well as their new Denham Service Co (an on-site repair and stitch service) and a new program entitled Denham Quick Wash: already rolled out in their Amsterdam and Tokyo locations.
Stylesight’s denim team was there to celebrate with Jason and the rest of the Denham crew, as well as the extended denim community visiting Berlin for the shows. Attendees were treated to a pre-party of fish and chips, sliders, beer, champagne and gin and tonics before heading off to the unforgettable semi-finals between Germany and Brazil.
It turned out to be a pretty memorable night for both Denim and Football!
